Boston Harbor Project Part 6
And now...
The Urban Lodge!
From Maine roots to Boston city living,
a non-traditional urban retreat.
A juxtaposition of an old building
with exposed beams in the middle of a large city.
Rustic vibes and some traditional
New England features
mixed in with the urban city life.
We're sharing the first floor Great Room
with the Kitchen and Dining area
this week!
Enjoy!

Just to remind you,
our vision incorporated
a mix of recycled barn wood,
wool rugs, leather, saturated tones...
durability and comfort...
Keeping the dark rustic wood throughout
(and exposing even more of it),
we brought in old barn boards from Maine
for additional beams
and a beautiful feature wall.
The focal fireplace got a modern update
with a warm rustic stone.
We used black and brushed gold metals
along with glass throughout
to bring in the urban feel.
Keeping the paint colors simple,
we used a warm white that pairs well
with the dark wood along with accents
of charcoal blue to bring in
the Boston Harbor just outside.
The furnishings are neutral,
casual, and modern,
fitting well with the urban side
of the planned aesthetic.
We didn't just create a new
look and feel for this home,
we also developed better layouts,
like opening up the kitchen space
and making a designated dining area.
And as the city of Boston
bloomed into Spring,
our project came to life too!
Did you enjoy
seeing this first look?
We hope so!
Next time, we'll be sharing
the bedrooms and more!
Stay tuned!
