Boston Harbor Project Part 4
Planes...

Boston Harbor Condo Part 3
In our last email, you got a peek at our Boston Harbor condo project in its "Before" stage. Let's look at what happens next on a project like this. So after seeing the property ourselves, we began the process of creating a scope of work while reviewing, discussing, and developing a foundation for the entire project alongside the client and the contractors. From the initial client visit, seeing the property, and then listening to everyone's ideas about what the place could become, in the end the consensus was to work with the idea of the juxtaposition of an old building with rustic beams in the middle of a bustling large city. We began to plan bringing out more of the rustic vibes that the original architecture already has, adding some traditional New England layers, and mixing it all with urban touches... Maine roots with a Boston flavor, an "Urban Lodge".

We've already asked you what's a girl to do when one of her clients asks if she is interested in working on a condo renovation project on the waterfront in Boston... and you know she says YES and jumps on the next flight out! It has been about a year and a half since we got that exciting call and we can finally begin to show you what happened next...

A Lifetime Dream

Today, let's go back to the coastal renovation project we shared with you not too long ago over several of our emails. We recently wrapped up the installation in preparation for a full reveal to our client when they arrived back to the area. It truly was the realization of a dream come true! But first, let's be reminded where we've been and how we've got to this point. From the start, our clients had said it's the home they always wanted... it was "just meant to be". Serendipitously, a contractor they called who happened to be working next door suddenly had his schedule open up for them when another project fell through! Once we were on board, we met with them on site and listened to all their thoughts and wishes while discussing every thing they wanted. As all the style and function was coming together, we also navigated the plans with the contractors and previewed all the elements in our Design Studio. Ultimately meeting our clients in our studio for a 3D rendered presentation, all of the original conversations that were had came together with the Design Plan we created. Exploring the furnishings, fabrics, finishes, and color palettes for each room, their dream was really beginning to take shape!
