Here's another
New Construction Advocacy project
we were able to start on
before ground was even broken
for the home.
All the decisions for materials and finishes
from floor to ceiling were made pre-construction
with our clients on the west coast
via regularly scheduled Zoom meetings
and a couple in-person meetings too.
The open kitchen and living area design,
first floor main ensuite,
and second floor main ensuite
make up a simply configured home
you might find in the Swedish countryside.
Perfectly suited to family gatherings
with multiple activities happening at once,
it's a home intentionally designed
with a classic look and feel
that will last for generations.

We combined traditional, modern,
and coastal design elements throughout
and incorporated blue into all the spaces
to bring the bay just outside the windows
into the interior of the home.
Worry-free main flooring throughout
carries a rich and warm feeling
and limited paint changes are soothing
giving a hint of the coastline itself.
Lighting was thoughtfully chosen for function
and to add elements of glass, metal,
and texture to the mix.
Casually slipcovered furnishings
are comfortable and easy maintenance
and swivel chairs encourage conversations
as well as quiet moments to spend
around the fireplace.
And let's not overlook
the open library's custom daybed...
ready for quietly reading,
a little napping, game playing,
or puzzles on a rainy summer day.
This outstanding new-build
was a joy to work on with our clients
who have deep roots
right here in our home state.
We hope they, along with their
multi-generational family and friends,
enjoy their lovely midcoast home
for many decades to come!
