A Room Reimagined
This project was truly
a depiction of
"your style & our guidance"
Instead of looking to update everything,
we've helped our client bring out the best
of what she already loves.
We know if we remove everything
that makes your place unique to you,
you just won't LOVE your home...
so if you want to keep your
rose pink velvet sofa because you love it,
then you've got it.
Some of the ingredients
we worked with...
traditional shapes
tufting
a chair's turned legs
winged backs
muted dusty colors
velvets
collectibles
a botanical rug
florals
mixed patterns
There's a little "twist" to this scheme,
a classic decorating technique designers use...
we've brought into the mix
a sprinkle of animal print!
Adding a bit of sophistication, it prevents
the room from becoming too "sweet".
And it can almost act as a neutral
and bring a contrasting spirit and energy
to more traditional foundations.
Some key words to describe
the expression of this room could be...
feminine, heirloom,
layered rather than matched,
collected, cozy, classic,
romantic
So what is this mix... Updated Traditional Cottage?
Soft English Country? Modern Victorian?
Or maybe "Grandmillennial" English Country Cottage
with a playful leopard print twist?
We love it all, your style & our guidance!
After our installation,
we rearranged some of her
other furniture and antiques in the house
and hung her artwork up
where we recommended it to go...
she was sooo happy
it made us all tear up!
